The word laser is an acronym for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.
Pain therapy employs the use of "soft lasers" (low level therapeutic lasers) which apply focused light to tissue in order to stimulate healing.
Laser therapy not only provides pain relief, it has anti-inflammatory and biostimulatory effects.
Soft lasers can be used to treat muscle and tendon injuries, and also as an adjuvant treatment for fractures, dislocations, scars, numerous skin diseases and wound healing disorders.
Conditions which can be treated with acupuncture, such as bronchitis, migraines, blood circulation disorders, hay fever and pain, can also be treated with laser therapy. This therapy is suitable for patients who cannot be treated with acupuncture needles.
In my medical practice, I offer primarily the needle and pain-free form of acupuncture, via application of the laser to acupuncture points.
